Private Tour Terms and Conditions
SKYLINE TRAVEL AND CONSULTING PTE. LTD.
Effective date: [7 OCTOBER 2026] | Last updated: [7 OCTOBER 2026]
These Private Tour Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to private and customised tours, excursions, transportation and related travel services provided or arranged by Skyline Travel and Consulting Pte. Ltd. (“Skyline”, “we”, “us” or “our”) for the customer (“Customer”, “you” or “your”).
Services may include itinerary planning, sightseeing, vehicles, drivers, guides, attraction tickets, accommodation, dining, transfers, activities, local experiences, cruises, ferries and other reservations. Only services expressly listed as included in the quotation or written booking confirmation are included.
These Terms, together with the accepted quotation, itinerary, invoice and written booking confirmation (“Booking Confirmation”), form the agreement for your booking. Specific written terms in the quotation or Booking Confirmation prevail over these general Terms if there is an inconsistency.
Quotations are subject to availability and remain valid only for the stated period. Before confirmation, prices may change because of supplier rates, exchange rates, taxes, fuel or transportation surcharges, peak-season rates, availability or changes you request. Promotional offers may have separate conditions, cannot be combined or transferred unless stated otherwise, and may be amended or withdrawn before confirmation.
A booking is confirmed only when you have accepted the arrangement, Skyline has received the required payment, and Skyline has issued written confirmation. Verbal discussions and provisional arrangements do not secure services. We will communicate any revised price for your acceptance before confirming the booking.
Unless stated otherwise, prices are in Singapore Dollars (SGD). The quotation or Booking Confirmation will specify inclusions, exclusions, applicable taxes and mandatory charges, and any agreed foreign exchange or payment-processing costs.
Unless expressly included, the price excludes flights, insurance, visas and immigration fees, meals and drinks, personal expenses, extra activities or transportation, overtime, additional entrance fees, porterage, tips, medical expenses and shopping.
After confirmation, additional charges may arise from changes you request or new mandatory government or supplier charges. Skyline will explain these charges and obtain your agreement where reasonably practicable. Any other post-confirmation price adjustment must be expressly provided for in the accepted quotation or agreed in writing.
The required deposit, any non-refundable deposit condition, balance payment deadline and applicable payment charges will be stated in the quotation or Booking Confirmation. Costs arising from changes you request may be payable immediately.
If payment is overdue, Skyline may suspend services, cancel or release reservations, or decline to commence or continue services. Applicable cancellation charges will be assessed under clause 5. Rebooking is subject to availability and any price difference. Skyline is not responsible for lost availability or price increases caused by your late payment.
Cancellation must be requested in writing. The effective cancellation date is the date Skyline receives the request. A booking-specific cancellation policy stated in the quotation or Booking Confirmation takes priority. Otherwise, the following general policy applies, using calendar days before the tour start date:
Written cancellation received | General cancellation charge |
More than 30 days before start | Non-refundable supplier charges plus disclosed reasonable administrative or service fees. |
15 to 30 days before start | Up to 50% of the total booking amount, plus applicable non-refundable supplier charges. |
8 to 14 days before start | Up to 75% of the total booking amount, plus applicable non-refundable supplier charges. |
7 days or fewer before start | Up to 100% of the total booking amount. |
Skyline will explain the applicable charge and any supplier deductions. Charges will not duplicate the same cost, and total cancellation charges will not exceed the total booking amount. Non-refundable deposits are credited against, rather than added to, the applicable charge. Any balance remaining after lawful deductions will be refunded. Unused services voluntarily declined after commencement are normally non-refundable.
Changes to dates, itinerary, accommodation, transport, activities or participant numbers are subject to availability and written confirmation by Skyline. Supplier amendment or cancellation fees, rebooking costs, price differences and disclosed administrative fees may apply. Skyline will advise you of the applicable costs before confirming the change.
A reduction in participants does not automatically reduce the price where costs have already been committed or the price is based on fixed arrangements such as a private vehicle, guide, room or activity. Additional participants may incur extra charges and must be confirmed in advance.
During the tour, requested changes are subject to remaining time, opening hours, driver and guide working limits, vehicle restrictions and supplier availability. Extra transport, tickets or overtime may be charged. Skyline or its appointed representative may decline a change that is unsafe, unlawful, impractical or materially affects the remaining itinerary.
Private tours are tailored to your requirements, budget and travel dates, subject to availability and local conditions. Skyline will make reasonable efforts to follow the confirmed itinerary but may alter routes, timings, attractions, dining or other arrangements where reasonably necessary because of weather, traffic, closures, local events, government restrictions, safety concerns, supplier changes or operational disruptions.
Where reasonably practicable, Skyline will inform you and propose a suitable alternative. A change caused by circumstances beyond Skyline’s reasonable control does not automatically entitle you to a refund. Any refund for affected services will be assessed under clause 8 and applicable law.
Skyline may cancel or suspend affected services where reasonably necessary because of unavailable services, supplier cancellation, safety concerns or circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Such circumstances may include severe weather, natural disasters, epidemics, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, government restrictions, border or road closures, transportation disruptions, supplier failure, or power and communication failures.
If Skyline cancels before commencement for reasons within its reasonable control, it will offer an alternative for your acceptance or refund the amount paid for the cancelled services. If disruption is beyond Skyline’s reasonable control, Skyline will make reasonable efforts to assist, arrange alternatives where practicable and recover refundable supplier payments. Refunds in those circumstances depend on recoverable supplier amounts and applicable law; any deductions will be explained.
Subject to clause 18, Skyline is not liable for failure, delay, interruption or modification caused by events beyond its reasonable control. Additional costs for alternative arrangements will be explained and agreed where reasonably practicable.
Tour duration, operating hours, meeting points and any applicable overtime rate will be stated in the Booking Confirmation. Requested extensions are subject to supplier availability and lawful working-hour and safety limits. Skyline may refuse an extension that would breach those limits.
You must arrive at the agreed meeting point on time and contact Skyline promptly if delayed. Customer-caused delays may shorten the tour, cause missed activities or require itinerary changes. Overtime charges may apply if an extension is requested and accepted. No refund is normally due for services missed because of your late arrival.
Failure to attend without prior notice may be treated as a no-show. The affected booking is normally non-refundable, and remaining services may be cancelled where they cannot reasonably proceed without you. Additional costs directly caused by the no-show must be reasonable and explained; the same cost will not be recovered twice.
Private transportation, drivers and guides may be supplied by independent providers. The assigned driver or guide may change for operational reasons. Vehicles may be replaced by an equivalent vehicle where necessary; any material change will be communicated where practicable.
You must follow vehicle safety rules and use seatbelts where provided or legally required. Notify Skyline before booking of child-seat requirements so suitable arrangements can be confirmed. Accompanying adults must ensure children are properly secured, and transport will not proceed in breach of local safety requirements.
Transport delays caused by traffic, road closures, accidents, weather or official controls are addressed under clauses 7 and 8.
Accommodation is subject to the provider’s policies, including check-in and check-out times, occupancy, bedding and facilities. Requests for connecting or adjoining rooms, particular views or locations, early check-in, late check-out, extra beds, birthday or honeymoon arrangements, preferred restaurants or other special services are subject to availability and possible additional charges.
A request is guaranteed only if Skyline expressly confirms it in writing. Additional hotel or supplier charges are payable by you unless expressly included.
Included meals will be specified in the Booking Confirmation. Inform Skyline as early as reasonably possible of dietary restrictions, allergies or special meal requirements. Skyline will pass these details to the relevant suppliers but cannot guarantee that food is free from allergens or cross-contamination. Customers with serious allergies should also inform food providers directly before consuming food.
Attractions, excursions and activities are subject to provider rules, opening times, capacity and eligibility requirements, including age, height, health and safety restrictions. Tickets may be non-refundable, non-transferable and valid only on specified dates or times.
No refund is normally due if you cannot participate because of customer-caused late arrival, failure to meet disclosed eligibility requirements or failure to follow provider rules. Supplier cancellations or closures are addressed under clauses 7 and 8.
You are responsible for valid passports, visas, permits, entry approvals, health documents and any other required travel documentation. Skyline may provide general information or assistance, but admission is decided by the relevant authorities and cannot be guaranteed.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended and is excluded unless expressly included in the quotation. You should obtain suitable cover for medical treatment, cancellation, delays, baggage, valuables and emergency evacuation. Having or not having insurance does not alter any liability Skyline has under applicable law.
Consider your fitness and medical condition before booking or joining an activity. Inform Skyline before booking of any medical, mobility or accessibility requirement that materially affects safe service provision, including wheelchairs, equipment, special seating, child seats and assistance. Skyline will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests, but availability must be expressly confirmed and additional charges may apply.
Some destinations, vehicles, attractions and historic sites have accessibility limitations, and some activities involve inherent risks. Skyline may refuse participation where it reasonably identifies a serious safety risk.
Parents, guardians or accompanying adults are responsible for supervising children and minors throughout the tour.
Customers must behave lawfully and respectfully towards staff, suppliers and others, follow reasonable safety instructions and respect vehicles, accommodation and other property. Skyline may end a Customer’s participation without refund, to the extent permitted by law, for threats, abuse, violence, unlawful conduct, serious disruption, property damage or serious safety risks. Reasonable additional costs directly caused by that conduct may be charged to the Customer.
You are responsible for your belongings, luggage, passports, money and valuables. Do not leave valuables unattended in vehicles or public areas. Any exclusion or limitation of Skyline’s liability for loss, theft or damage is subject to clause 18.
Skyline may engage independent hotels, transport providers, drivers, guides, restaurants, attractions, activity operators and ferry or cruise operators. Relevant supplier conditions will apply to their services and will be made available or identified where applicable.
Skyline will make reasonable efforts to help resolve supplier service issues but cannot control suppliers’ independent acts, policies or decisions. The use of a third-party supplier does not remove Skyline’s own contractual obligations or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent permitted by applicable law and subject to any applicable reasonableness requirement, Skyline excludes liability for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, business or opportunity. Skyline is not responsible for inconvenience or additional expenses arising solely from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Where legally permissible and reasonable, Skyline’s total liability for a claim relating to an affected service is limited to the amount you paid Skyline for that service. These exclusions and limits do not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for reasonable losses, costs and third-party claims directly caused by your unlawful conduct, intentional or negligent property damage, failure to follow reasonable supplier rules, materially inaccurate information, or unlawful or unauthorised requests. This responsibility does not apply to the extent the loss was caused by Skyline’s own negligence, wilful misconduct or other conduct for which liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Notify Skyline or its appointed representative promptly of any problem during the tour so it can investigate and try to resolve it. After the tour, please submit complaints in writing within 7 days of completion with relevant details and supporting records. This requested reporting period does not remove statutory rights or prevent consideration of a complaint where later reporting is reasonable.
Where reasonably practicable, contact Skyline to resolve a genuine billing or service dispute before starting a payment dispute or chargeback. Skyline may provide relevant booking, payment and communication records to the payment provider or financial institution in accordance with applicable law. This does not restrict your legal or payment-provider dispute rights.
Skyline may collect and process information reasonably necessary to arrange your services, including names, travel-document details, contact information, accommodation details, and dietary, health or accessibility requirements. Relevant information may be shared with suppliers in Singapore or overseas to fulfil the booking.
Skyline will handle personal data in accordance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act and its applicable privacy policy, including required safeguards for overseas transfers. If you provide another traveller’s information, ensure you have authority to do so and have informed them of its use for the booking.
Identifiable Customer photographs or videos will not be used for marketing without appropriate consent. Inform Skyline or the tour representative in advance of any restrictions on photography or filming.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. The parties submit to the jurisdiction of Singapore’s courts, subject to mandatory legal requirements.
If a provision is invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, it will be modified or severed only to the extent necessary; the remainder will continue in effect.
Skyline may update these Terms for future bookings. The version supplied and accepted for your booking will continue to apply unless a change is agreed in writing or required by law.
By accepting a quotation, signing or electronically confirming a booking, paying a deposit or balance, or instructing Skyline to proceed after these Terms have been provided, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these Terms, reviewed the itinerary and inclusions, understood the applicable cancellation policy and third-party arrangements, and undertaken to provide accurate travel and personal information.
